Hello Church family, for this week’s mid-week prayer focus, we’re looking at the message to the church in Sardis, from Revelation chapter 3. Jesus’ charge to them is that they are dying, they are sleeping, their deeds are not complete in God’s sight as they should be. So, He tells them to wake up and strengthen the things that remain, to remember what they have received and heard, and to repent. My prayer for you and for God’s church this week, is that during the restrictions of this COVID season, may His church not get sleepy. May we not drift off into a dead sleep while we aren’t meeting as normal. May our hunger and thirst for God’s truth not die off. May we not get lazy in our concern for others, or lazy in our attempts to connect with Him. If there is anything within us that has gone asleep, or has died, may we strengthen and renew and revitalize those things. Let’s search our hearts and see how Jesus might be speaking to us through this passage of scripture. Church I love you, thank you for loving Him and for loving each other. I hope to see you this Sunday through the car windows!
